Central Arkansas Velo is proud to present this 15th annual Central Arkansas tradition. Newcomers to road racing are strongly encouraged to participate.
Volunteers: We will be needing volunteers throughout the 12 weeks. It's a great way to meet/hang out with other members of both CARVE and the rest of the cycling community, give back to the club, and for those racing, a way to get in the volunteer requirements. Course Description: A flat, 0.8 mile course with 6 turns located at the Burns Park Soccer Complex, North Little Rock, AR
Directions: From I-40, take the Burns Park exit (exit 150) and go South, following the signs for the golf course. Do NOT turn right on Arlene Laman Dr., rather, continue straight past the golf course until you reach the stop sign. Turn right and proceed roughly one mile until you see the barriers for the race. For parking and registration, turn right into the parking lot for Soccer Field #8.
Registration: Opens at 4:30 pm and is race day only. Entry fee is $15 for each race/$10 for each additional race entered same day. Only Cat 5 men and women can purchase a $10 one-day USAC license. All other racers must have an annual license. USA Cycling Event Release Form required. Riders under 18 years of age require the signature of a parent or guardian. General Rules: All 2017 USA Cycling rules are in effect. Valid and current USAC license must be presented at registration. Promoter reserves the right to adjust start times, cancel or combine events, and modify prize lists as necessary. Events will be held rain or shine. Helmets must be worn on the bike at all times. Numbers supplied by the promoter must be used. Folding, cutting, or intentionally wrinkling numbers is prohibited and may result in relegation.
Daily Payout: Top 3 finishers in W, A and B races only. Payouts are 1st-$75, 2nd-$50, 3rd-$25. Cash and merchandise primes will be announced and presented for each event.
Series Payout: Points will be awarded for the top ten finishers in each race as follows: 1st-25, 2nd-18, 3rd-15, 4th-12, 5th-10, 6th-8, 7th-6, 8th-4, 9th-2, 10th-1. Payouts will be awarded based on total points scored for the A and B races as follows: 1st-$50, 2nd-$40, 3rd-$30, 4th-$25, 5th-$20.
