2019 Arkansas State Criterium at the State Capitol

Arkansas State Criterium Championships at the State Capitol

The course will race around the Arkansas State Capitol. The races start at the steps of the Capitol and head north on Woodlane, turning left on 4th Street, continues westbound around the Capitol grounds roads with a 180 degree turn on the far west of the course; then continuing east bound back towards the Capitol building then turning south to make a left turn on 7th street followed by a final left turn back to Woodlane to the finish line. There is a downhill portion of the course on the backside (West) of the Capitol building; then back uphill after the 180 degree turn.

2014 CARTI Tour de Rock

Tour de Rock is an event that caters to both serious cyclists and those who enjoy a little more laid back pace. This exciting event includes food, live music, and a whole lot of fun. Starting at the Burns Park Soccer Complex in North Little Rock, Tour de Rock includes two separate courses – a Family Fun Ride across the Big Dam Bridge and a Advanced Ride for the experienced cyclists.

Additionally, if you start work at 8:00, lunch will be provided.  
 
Come earn some trail cred by joining Tom Burks for a "pay Dirt" day at Burns Park on April 27th.
Pay Dirts earn points for the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS).

2013 Ronde van Burns Summer Criterium Series

OK, summer means it’s time for criterium racing in North Little Rock’s Burns Park. For the eleventh consecutive year, road cyclists will get a chance to race weekly on a flat course around the park’s soccer fields that is just under a mile long and free of traffic in the CARVE Ronde van Burns Criterium Series. Races are held May 15, 22 and 29, and June 5, 12 and 19.

If you are new to road racing, this is the perfect chance to get out and and turn the pedals in anger in friendly competition with lots of support.

Races are divided into three categories: the C Race, with Cat. 5 Men and Cat. 4 Women starts at 5:15 p.m. and is 20 minutes plus 3 laps long. The B Race includes Cat. 4 and 5 and Masters 50+ racers, begins at 5:50 and is 30 minutes plus 3 laps long. And the A Race is for Cat. 1-4 racers, begins at 6:40 and is 45 minutes plus 3 laps long.

Registration is day of the race only. Entry fee is $10 for each race and. All USA Cycling rules are in effect. Valid and current USAC license must be presented at registration. Cat. 5 racers who are non-licensed must purchase a one-day USAC license for $10. 

Top three finishers in the A and B races will get prize money for their efforts ($35 for first place, $25 for second and $15 for third). There will also be a series overall prize for Cat 1/2/3/4, Cat 4/5, and Masters 50+.

2013 AMBCS #3: 3 Legged Dawg

Race #3 of the 2013 AMBCS Series will be held down at Iron Mountain near Lake DeGray.
