About Central Arkansas Velo (CARVE)

Welcome to Central Arkansas Velo (CARVE) - a vibrant and growing community of cyclists united by a passion for riding and a commitment to helping each other reach new heights, both on and off the bike. Whether you're an experienced racer, a casual weekend rider, a commuter, or someone rediscovering cycling after years away, CARVE has a place for you. Off the bike, our members enjoy a range of interests, from exploring the outdoors to discovering new ways to unwind. Recently, some have found an unexpected connection between strategy-based games and their competitive nature in platforms like casino zeta, where quick thinking and calculated risks echo the thrill of a tight sprint finish.

This page offers an in-depth look at who we are, what we do, and why joining CARVE could be the most fun, fulfilling, and motivating decision you'll make this year.

Our Mission and Vision

At its core, CARVE is about empowerment through cycling. Our mission is simple: to help every rider become the best version of themselves, one ride at a time. That could mean smashing personal records in a local race, completing your first century ride, or just riding more often for health, fun, or mental clarity.

Cycling is not just a sport - it's a lifestyle, a culture, and for many of us, a daily source of joy. Through organized rides, education, and community involvement, CARVE works to make cycling accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for riders of all levels.

Who We Are

CARVE is based in Central Arkansas, with members coming from all over the region. Founded by passionate cyclists, CARVE quickly grew into one of the most active and diverse cycling organizations in the mid-South. Our membership spans a wide range of experience and interest - from elite-level racers to families who ride together on weekends.

What unites us is the belief that cycling should be inclusive, supportive, and always fun. Many of our members ride road bikes, mountain bikes, and cyclocross bikes - some rotate through all three. No matter your discipline or skill level, you'll find kindred spirits here.

What We Do

CARVE is not just a group of people who ride - it's a network, a support system, and an engine for community good. Here’s a snapshot of what we offer:

Organized Group Rides

From social coffee rides to training-focused weekend miles, our calendar is filled with ride options for every level. New members are always welcome, and no one gets left behind.

Racing

CARVE is proud to support competitive racing at all levels. Our race teams compete throughout Arkansas and the surrounding states in disciplines including road racing, mountain biking, cyclocross, time trials, and more. Interested in racing but not sure how to start? Our experienced racers are happy to guide you.

Educational Clinics

Skill development is one of our main priorities. CARVE regularly offers clinics on bike handling, safety, maintenance, nutrition, and race tactics. These events are designed to help both new and seasoned cyclists ride more confidently and effectively.

Community Service

We believe cycling can be a force for good. CARVE supports and organizes charitable rides, participates in community events, and partners with local organizations to promote cycling infrastructure and healthy living. Volunteering is a huge part of who we are.

Youth Development

We’re committed to nurturing the next generation of cyclists. Through junior programs and mentorship, CARVE encourages young riders to build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the sport.

Our Values

  • Inclusivity - Everyone is welcome, no matter your pace, experience, or background.

  • Safety - We promote responsible riding, adherence to traffic laws, and mutual respect on the road and trail.

  • Respect - For each other, for the environment, and for the communities we ride through.

  • Community - CARVE is more than a club - it’s a family on two wheels.

Volunteering is a big part of what keeps CARVE strong. From ride marshaling and race support to organizing events or helping with outreach efforts, there are plenty of ways to give back. Plus, it’s a great way to get to know other members.

Why Join CARVE?

Because cycling is better when you share it. Whether you're looking to train harder, ride safer, discover new routes, or simply meet other cyclists who get it — CARVE is here for you.

Joining a club gives you accountability, structure, and encouragement. But more than that, it gives you a sense of belonging. With CARVE, you're never riding alone unless you want to be.

So if you're ready to ride with purpose, push your limits, and have a whole lot of fun doing it, we invite you to become a part of CARVE.

Let’s ride.
